Compact 10

The Compact 10 is directly inspired by the legendary Vedette 10. Like all models in the Compact series, it features a 96-bass configuration.

Inside its cassotto are a Bassoon (L 16′) reed and a Piccolo (H 4′) reed, creating a rich and distinctive tonal character. Among its unique features are the Celeste register combined with the Piccolo reed in the Baselli style, as well as the Piccolo register (Quinzième), offering an exceptionally broad range of sound colours.

A truly versatile accordion with remarkable tonal diversity, the Compact 10 is an instrument that deserves to be discovered.

This model embodies the spirit of the legendary Marcel Azzola sound, thanks to its Piccolo reed, now housed within the cassotto. Slightly subdued, this Piccolo creates a distinctive tonal character with a subtle edge that recalls the iconic Cavagnolo American sound.

It was with the introduction of cassotto that this signature sound became a defining element of the Cavagnolo identity. The tone was notably popularized by Joss Baselli, who used it for many years in accompaniment settings, making it a recognizable part of his musical style.
